You are beautiful
About a year ago, someone put this sign up using cups stuck into a chain link fence. It stayed up for a long time...perhaps a month...before the janitorial service took it down. I was unable to get a decent photo of it last year. It showed up again last week! I cannot tell you how much this sign makes me smile. To think that someone thought of putting it up there to make people know they are beautiful is an incredible deed. I tried to take a picture yesterday, but couldn't. Today? I thought I couldn't get it, flying past at 55 mph. But behold! I did :) YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! Always remember that.
Keiki!
Ulaula's baby, "Keiki" has visited twice today! How do I know it's him? Simple. Ulaula comes with a purpose: to be fed. He clicks a few times, I tell him to wait, I go out and feed him. He thanks me, I go back into the house telling him he's welcome, then I go back to work.
Keiki comes and has an eratic chirp. Just chirping like any old bird. No purpose. I go out, talking to him, telling him he is way too early (Ulaulau shows up around 5 p.m.), and he just flies up in the tree and doesn't talk back to me like his daddy does.
When I realized it was Keiki (after that interaction), I ran inside for my camera. I was barely able to get off two shots before he flew away, scared. It made my day to see him. :)
